The installation captures the surrounding by a webcam and plays back each frame with a time delay of 36 seconds !
The viewer can observe the body contorting and elongating as if it were being pulled by some invisible force. The limbs seem to stretch out to impossible lengths, while the torso twists and turns in an unnatural manner.
This deconstruction and reconstitution of the body speaks to the idea of change and transformation, of how something can break apart and come back together in a new and different way. It suggests that the body, like all things in life, is constantly evolving and changing, and that there is beauty in this process of deconstruction and reconstitution.
Overall, "Stretching Time and Space" is a thought-provoking and visually stunning work of art. It challenges our perceptions of the human form and invites us to consider the mysteries of transformation and change.
