The room installation Digital Nature, consisting of old, discarded monitors, devices, cables and circuit boards and questions the sustainability of our digital life. The once discarded screens, which grow out of the electronic waste as a plant structure, symbolize the fusion of technology and nature as a technosphere, which is to be understood as an earth-enclosed system that occurs like the biosphere and the atmosphere in the earth system, which interacts with the other components.
While cultural interventions in nature initially took place through the development of technology, the development of the technosphere brings about a naturalization of all areas, including humans. This results in an explosive political situation in which technology does not follow human needs, but people follow technology.
